In 1959 H. Alvin Sharpe presented to the Captian of the REX organization an idea for a new Mardi Gras doubloon throw which would be a safe and attractive momento of the King of Carnival's reign. REX gave Sharpe the go-ahead to strike a " Carnival doubloon," and thats how the doubloon was born.

I am sorry I only have an online store.
We are trying to find some doubloons in Mardi Gras colors with a fluer de lis on one side.
Plastic or aluminum in any color would work but Mardi Gras colors would be great.
We have a restaurant in Memphis and we plan to celebrate Mardi Gras. We would like to use beads and doubloons as decorations.
Our name is Iris and the fleur de lis is a stylized Iris. I have many doubloons but not the flower. Do you have any ideas who may have these??
